This semester will be assessed by three tasks, each with its own deadline. All of them relate to the following language phenomena:
- Linking clauses
- Noun clauses/nominalisation
- Subjunctive
- Hedging
- Emphasis
- Topic Sentences
- Paragraph hooks
- Non-sexist language
- Fronting
- Introductory there/it
Provide three sentences for any five of the above language phenomena. They may only be derived from the corpora listed on the home page at http://corpora.fi.muni.cz/ske/auth/ . Set it out clearly with the sentences under the headings.
